Turf ShopWorx was built from real experience inside turf equipment shops and the issues that affect day-to-day golf course operations. In many turf equipment maintenance programs, shops become reactive instead of proactive. Preventive maintenance falls behind, organization breaks down and small inefficiencies begin to impact equipment reliability and the crews that depend on it.
At top clubs and professional tournaments, turf equipment operations run differently. Maintenance is structured, workflows are consistent and the shop operates at a high professional standard. Equipment is reliable because the systems behind it are built to support it.
Turf ShopWorx was created to bring that same level of structure and consistency into everyday turf equipment shop operations. Whether it’s a full turf shop assessment, improving preventive maintenance programs, training technicians or stepping in as an interim equipment manager, the goal is always the same. Meet Tommy
Tommy Richey has spent over 23 years in the golf industry, including 15 years as an Equipment Manager at some of the most respected clubs in the country. His experience includes Atlanta Athletic Club, Cherokee Town & Country Club, Whitemarsh Valley Country Club and Pine Valley Golf Club.
He has also supported more than 20 professional tournaments, including the U.S. Open, PGA Championship, The Players Championship, Solheim Cup, Tour Championship and U.S. Senior Open. These environments require a high level of preparation, organization and attention to detail, and that standard is what he brings to every shop he works with.
Tommy’s background is hands-on. He understands the day-to-day realities of turf equipment maintenance, from managing preventive maintenance schedules to organizing workflow and solving problems as they come up. His approach is straightforward and practical, focused on what actually works in a real shop with a real crew.
